Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday is the last day before Lent begins. It is traditional on this day to eat pancakes. Lent is a time of giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to use up the foods that aren't allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs, which were forbidden during Lent.

Psalm 117

Psalm 117 is the shortest psalm in the Bible.

All of you nations,
come praise the Lord!
    Let everyone praise him.

His love for us is wonderful;
    his faithfulness never ends.
    Shout praises to the Lord!

Write your own psalm.  First write “Praise the Lord!” Then write two things that you want to Thank or praise God for.  Then finish with “Praise the Lord!”
