Earth is the third planet from the
sun. It is a rocky planet that is the
only one we know to have life and liquid water.
The Earth rotates every twenty-four hours. This means that when the Earth is facing the
sun it is daytime and when it is not it is night. The Earth is tilted on an axis. This means that when the Earth is tilted
toward the sun it is Summer and when it is tilted away from the sun it is
Winter. Places near the equator are
always warm and the North and South Pole are always cold.
