3B Newsletter
Our Famous People projects are nearly ready to be presented.  The Hall is booked for next Thursday afternoon if you would like to come along.  The school will also be invited.  As you visit each child’s display, there are questions on their display to ask.   I would ask that the children do two things to prepare:
1.   Organise a simple outfit to wear as their famous person.
2.   Practise the answers to their questions.  Getting into the role of their person will make it more interesting for those are you listening.

This is the last week of weekly spelling tests.  The children have been individually given words for a Spelling Bee.  They are based on words they have incorrectly spelt this year through the weekly spelling tests.  We will continue practicing these words on Spelling City as well as do any catch up tests that may have been missed due to absence this year in the last few weeks.
At this stage, I plan to hold the Spelling Bee on Monday 2nd December but it may have to earlier.  There will be class prizes for best effort.
We will be leading prayer on assembly on Friday, November 22nd.  We have concluded our learning about the life of Moses and will now focus on the Beatitudes.  There is a meaningful link between the Ten Commandments and Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.  Our assembly will also mark the commencement of the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.

Thanks to those who have already returned permission forms for SeaWorld and those who have volunteered to come along.  Let’s hope the weather is fine.

The kids are doing a great job at learning their times tables.  Even though it is not necessary that they learn them all in Year 3, it will be a great help for next year.

Have a great week, Susan
