Should crocodiles be culled?

Your task this week is to write a response to my opinion.  Convince me that we should be saving crocodiles.  Talk to mum and dad to get some ideas.

It’s about time something is done about all the crocodiles.  Crocodiles need to start being killed off for the good of everyone.  It will make us feel safer, create jobs from their skins and protect other animals.

To begin with, I want to be able to feel safe walking down the street and not worry about whether a crocodile will attack me.  By culling crocodiles this will make them fear humans and stay away from us.  People will want to come to Australia if they know it is a safe place to visit.  Safety of our children should be a priority.

Another important reason for culling crocodiles is the money that can be made from their skins.  Handbags, shoes and leather goods made from crocodiles not only look good but also will create lots of jobs for Australians.  Think of the big picture- Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!

Finally, we have a responsibility to protect all the living creatures that crocodiles are killing.  They are spreading into fresh water ecosystems and upsetting the balance of nature by killing animals that normally would be safe from these predators.

You have to agree that it is better for everyone if crocodiles are culled.  We will all feel safer, jobs will be created and animals will be protected.
